Out of Control Gas Prices - And No Minimum Wage Increase

Average two car families in Minnesota will pay an average of $1888.6 more for gasoline in 2006 than they did in 2000 because of rising gasoline prices.

Meanwhile, 86,900 people in Minnesota would have benefitted from an increase in minimum wage that Republicans like John Kline blocked.

If your objective is to help the working poor, an expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit would be a much more effective and equitable way of doing so than raising the minimum wage.
