According to a new
Gallup poll:
"A record-low 10% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing, down from 13% in January and the previous low of 11%, recorded in December 2011. Eighty-six percent disapprove of Congress, tying the record high for disapproval set in December."
The poll goes on to report that both Democrats and Republicans score equally low scores...That indicates that there is a very strong disapprove for what Congress is doing...or moreover...what it has NOT done... I noted just recently that while Congressman John Kline, along with his colleagues, has done NOTHING to create jobs, he continues to waste tax payer money making symbolic procedural votes calling for the elimination of our health care (note: not his government subsidized health care!). To quote John Kline's own words....
"Sadly, the President [Congressman John Kline] once again chosen to put politics before policy, touting a plan [worthless symbolic voting] that will do nothing to help the nation's unemployed workers"
Is it any wonder Americans are fed up with Congress and Kline? Minnesota voters in the Second District will soon have an opportunity to vote his worthless leadership out of a job. After years in office, John Kline needs to be removed...for countless reasons...

I trust that you have seen the report that the efforts to appeal the Affordable Care Act has cost the taxpayers $48 million as according to the Congressional Research Service, the House costs taxpayers $24 million a week to operate, those two weeks amounted to a total cost of approximately $48 million.
WHY do they do this ?
Well, one reason could be their own insurance ... listen to the words of Congressman Polis during the floor debate that was stated in the presence of Chairman Kline :
Mr. Speaker, in this bill before us today, there are several provisions about which I think the American people would be very angry, and they will be very angry when they find out what this body is up to.
In this bill before us today, Members of Congress would be able to maintain their government-subsidized health care after they retire instead of getting insurance, like everybody else, from a plan created under the Affordable Care Act.
Before the Affordable Care Act was passed, Members of Congress were eligible to continue to receive government subsidized health insurance under the Federal employees health benefits program, even after they retired. This bill before us today would return that benefit and would give government subsidized health insurance to Members of Congress, even as it took it away from millions of other Americans. Members of Congress should not have access to special health insurance plans paid for by American taxpayers, as Republicans would have us do under this bill.
The second reason is that if they do not succeed this year, by the 2014 elections, citizens will be well versed in the benefits and the fact that a majority of citizens will not see an impact on their own policy costs. Implementing ObamaCare will return the House to Democrat control.
The Kline Must Go mantra is being taken up by David Gerson in the August 14th Primary Election.
For your readers consideration, how do you determine if the Do-Nothing Congress label fits and what impact can your Member of Congress have on pushing legislation ?
In John Kline’s case, since he is Chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee, there should be four areas of concern -- education reform, job creation, worker safety, and healthcare reform.

Stafford (student) Loan funding received temporary (one-year) extension days before the interest rate would have increased. This issue will have to be addressed next year when the Higher Education Opportunity Act expires … to date, Chairman Kline has not held any hearings although H.R. 4390 is awaiting committee hearing.
Sad to say, but 18 Members of the Committee wanted to hold a hearing regarding oversight on how schools handle reports of child abuse and the adequacy of child abuse reporting, and explore legislative solutions … but Chairman Kline declined.
Jobs --
Jobs creation is based on closing the skills gap as there are job requirements being unfilled because current workers do not posses the skills required.
For that, Chairman Kline promotes :

Over 30 votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act but the reform is NOT being led by Chairman Kline whose committee has responsibility but by Dr. Tom Price (R-GA), Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee (gosh, doesn’t that sound like the Republicans plan to create their own plan without involving other members?)
IMO, the Do-Nothing Congress is being managed by a Do-Nothing Chairman -- John Kline.
